Description

Top quality Imperial Gold caviar

The mild, nutty and slightly spicy taste and the unsurpassed texture of Imperial Gold caviar are perfect for any exclusive occasion.

The sturgeons that supply the Imperial caviar must be at least 4 years old, are usually between 150 and 300 cm long and can weigh up to 40 kg. The Acipenser Schrenkii – Huso Dauricus sturgeon, also called a Hybrid species of sturgeon, produces the second largest eggs.

Our caviar is slightly salted. This enhances the flavour and helps to keep the caviar fresh. It also ensures that hardly any other preservatives have to be used.

Taste and nutritional value

Imperial Gold caviar has a sublime mild nutty taste. The refined aromas of hazelnut, together with a mild salty touch, provide a unique taste palette.

Storage and serving advice

It is vital to refrigerate your caviar correctly to maximise its shelf life and optimally retain the best flavour. Our unopened cans of caviar can be stored for up to 8 weeks in the refrigerator, between -2 and 2 °C. Never put caviar in the freezer.

Once this gourmet delicacy has been opened, it cannot hang around for long. After opening, we recommend keeping the container in the bottom of your fridge to store it as cool as possible. But a better suggestion is to invite some guests and finish the caviar within 24 hours.

Before tasting, it is best to remove the caviar from the refrigerator in advance, so that it has time to reach the optimum temperature. This is not really necessary for cans up to 125 grams. For cans of 250 grams, a standard advice of 10 minutes applies.

Always use mother-of-pearl, wooden or plastic spoons for serving. Contact with metal and silverware affects the caviar’s own taste.
